President Muhammadu Buhari has passively laughed off the controversial interview granted by his wife, Aisha to the BBC Hausa.
Mrs Buhari had said that her husband’s government had been hijacked by a cabal and added that she would not support him for re-election if the situations remains the same.
However, Buhari said, while speaking to journalists in Germany, that his wife has no business with politics.
“I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room,” Buhari said according to The Associated Press.
“So I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition, because in the end I have succeeded. It’s not easy to satisfy the whole Nigerian opposition parties or to participate in the government,” he added.
