History is made as Nigerian medical students recorded great achievements in Howard University, USA.
An elated Honorable Abike Dabiri-Erewa shared the news on her social media page. It is another good day to be a Nigerian as a good number of 46 Nigerian students out of the 96 medical students, that graduated from the prestigious Howard University in the United States of America (USA).
Also out of 27 awards of excellence that were given out at the institutions graduation ceremony, 16 were claimed by hardworking, sound and well-deserving Nigerian students. It was gathered that the feat of academic excellence achieved by the student remains one that has never been recorded in Howard or any other university situated in the US.
Black Girl Magic reports that the former president Barrack Obama, who was a commencement speaker at the ceremony, spoke about race and encouraged students of color to always remain proud of their blackness and should also learn to love themselves.
