Saudi Arabia just recently agreed to release back to Nigeria the innocently detained lady, Zainab Aliyu, a student of Maitama Sule University, Kano, who was arrested since December 2018 when a banned drug was found in her bag.
The Office of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the Nigerian government succeeded in establishing Zainab’s innocence. It also confirmed that Ibrahim Abubakar, the second Nigerian involved in the case, was going to be released to the Nigerian Mission in Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
