The Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, is in the news again for the wrong reason!
While Nigerians are still trying to recover from his confession that his ministry didn’t make provisions for the Super Falcons simply because he hadn’t thought they could win, his new stunt has to do with grammatical hara-kiri — the sort that could make his child in the Junior Secondary School wonder who is correct between daddy and his teacher!
In a video posted by Channels Television, Dalung, who was being questioned by the House of Representatives Committee on Sports over issues of disbursement of funds to the various sports federations, denied allegations that his ministry was corrupt.
In his desperation to defend himself, Dalung said, “The funds ‘spended were properly spended because we got them from intervention funds from Mr. President.”
Nigerians have taken him up on it, though, with various reactions all over the social media.
