A pro-All Progressives Congress (APC) political group, Inuwa Organisation Network, has said that no local government election took place on Saturday in Gombe State due to non-availability of voting materials, result sheets and other sensitive materials. Just like in Rivers State too, they no gree say PDP win.
The spokesperson of the group, Kabir Mohammed, in a statement issued and made available to journalists in Abuja, called on Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission (GSIEC) to fix another date for the exercise.
Mohammed appealed to the GSIEC chairman to consider the advice to ensure that the commission conducted a credible election that would be accepted by all political parties.
He said the exercise that took place last Saturday was a “heavily compromised arrangement” to favour the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The group said an alleged duplication of sensitive materials by the electoral empire had undermined the essence of democracy.
He said, “Contrary to earlier denial by the GOSIEC Commissioner for Public Affairs, Mr. Kalagar Kudi Lubo, that it will not withhold sensitive election materials to deny opposition political parties to participate in the election, the reverse was the case.”
