Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, has declared March 8 as public holiday in Ekiti state.
Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state has declared Wednesday, March 8, 2017 as public holiday for the people of Ekiti state.
The date was declared to honour the women of Ekiti as the world celebrates 2017 International Women’s Day.
Fayose made this announcement through his Special Assistant (SA) on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka.
Olayinka released the statement on Tuesday, March 7 to announce the public holiday.
The statement reads: “Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has declared Wednesday, March 8, 2017 as public holiday in honour of Ekiti women to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day.”
