As indicated by his media office, the suit was recorded at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court, at 9am on Thursday.
You would recall that Melaye has been involved in a certificate embarrassment since Sahara Reporters distributed a report that the senator never moved on from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he went to get his first degree course.
A news that caught the Senate’s attention Tuesday, prompting its choice to allude the matter to its Ethics and Privileges Committee for examination.
The board of trustees was coordinated to research the claim that Dino Melaye does not have a credible first-degree testament from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Amid the day’s plenary managed by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, the upper authoritative chamber chose to direct the examinations, taking after a state of request raised by expelled Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume, who noticed that both issues, raised by the online medium, verges on the benefits of the legislators.
Ndume, showing off a duplicate of a daily paper which detailed the alleged certification fabrication, said the reports have made abuse be rained on the Senate by Nigerians.
