News breaking right about now report that Sunday Oliseh former super eagles coach just got fired by his club, Dutch club Fortuna Sittard.
The club on Wednesday explained that the reason for the sacking of Sunday Oliseh was more or less due to his interpersonal relations with others at the club and not because of his performance (even though he has lost four games on the bounce).
In a statement on their official website, the club said:
“The club management makes this decision as a result of the repeatedly culpable actions for a longer period by the trainer (Oliseh) towards several persons in the organization.
“Several attempts by the club to move the trainer to other behaviour were unfortunately without result, resulting in an unworkable situation.”
The club said: “Because of his inadmissible actions, the coach has made the cooperation with many people within the organization impossible.
If you recall, the player-management skills of Oliseh was in question during his time with the national team which saw the sudden retirement of the duo of Emmanuel Emenike and Vincent Enyeama who both faulted the style of the ex-Super Eagles captain.
But then again, its been kind of the trend for club managers to get fired in the football industry. So its not that big of a deal the way everyone is making it seem. However, Sunday Oliseh ought to learn to manage people better.
