The 4 time Grammy Award-winning legend released her last studio album, Soldier Of Love in 2010, and since then, fans have been on their toes waiting for her next release.

She has created an original song for Ava DuVernay’s highly-anticipated Disney movie — the first $100 million film directed by a black woman.

Ava DuVernay excitedly shared on her twitter page aabout Sade Adu agreeing to do the theme song. She tweeted: ““I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway. She was kind + giving. A goddess,” DuVernay wrote.”

Sade’s song, titled “Flower of the Universe”, will be part of the movie’s official soundtrack — which will also features original music from Demi Lovato, Chloe x Halle, Kehlani, DJ Khaled, Sia and Freestyle Fellowship.

The movie which stars Oprah Winfrey and Gugu Mbatha-Raw is set to hit theaters on March 9.
