Black Panther becomes the most Tweeted about Movie with over 35 million Tweets

Twitter Movies, a Twitter handle dedicated to ‘everything movies’ stated this morning that “Black Panther” is the movie with the highest number of tweets, amassing over 35 million tweets.

The film, which stars Chadwick Boseman and is directed by Ryan Coogler, has topped  “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in being the most tweeted about.

The conversation started off with Kendrick Lamar when he posted on Twitter the tracklist for the movie’s soundtrack. It has since then garnered conversation especially from Africans and people of African descent who have praised the movie for promoting Black Excellence.

The movie which has been consistently breaking records has made over $1.1billion worldwide, as well as holding a 97% score on review site Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the best-reviewed comic book films in history.
