The new Nigeria World Cup home kit was sold out minutes after its release on Friday morning. The home kit which would be worn at the 2018 World Cup in Russia had hundreds of fans queued outside London’s NikeTown store in Oxford Street.
According to many people the kit is the best kit of all of those to be seen in Russia this summer, with Nike having to push the release date back earlier this week due to such high demand.
Nike had already received three million pre-orders for the shirt, which was modelled by Wizkid, Alex Iwobi, Tiwa Savage amongst others before it officially went on sale on Friday.
The shirt alone is priced by Nike at £64.95 and will likely be seen for the first time in action on Saturday evening when Nigeria face England at Wembley in the first of their World Cup qualifiers, Independent reports.
The kit was deliberately one of the last released for the World Cup, with the Nigeria Football Federation attempting to avoid the spread of fake replicas throughout the country.
