World-famous momager. Kris Jenner, gave a rare interview this week where she spoke about her late ex-husband, who was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in July 2003 and died less than two months later.
Kris and lawyer Robert were married from July 1978 to March 1991. Kris married Caitlyn Jenner a month after their divorce was finalised.
Speaking to TMZ’s Harvey Levin, Kris recalled: “I married Robert when I was 22 years old and I got pregnant on my honeymoon – I had the happiest life you could’ve dreamt about.”
She went on: “But when you’re in something, sometimes people think the grass is always greener and that was like what I think I went through at some point.”
Kris was then quizzed about rumours of an affair with an athlete 10 years her junior, Todd Waterman, and whether she did cheat.
“I did, I did,” Kris admitted. “Which wasn’t… nothing I’m proud of. When I look back on it now, probably one of my biggest regrets in my life is that that marriage fell apart.”
The 62-year-old said when Robert filed for divorce it was one of the hardest things she’s ever had to deal with – not least because of the financial repercussions.
“Because it made it real,” she told Levin. “Like, you think you’re going to come through this period — that was really hard for me.”
Kris revealed Robert cut off all her credit cards.
“I didn’t have anything,” she said. “I went to the market one day and my credit card didn’t work. I had a market credit card and I’m like, ‘I can’t even buy a tomato.’ “
