Ben Affleck’s battle with alcohol addiction takes another significant turn.
The actor’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner was photographed picking Affleck, 46, up from his home on Wednesday. She is believed to have asked Affleck to seek help, to which he willingly agreed. TMZ‘s sources say the former couple immediately left for a rehab facility.
ET reports that “Ben’s priorities remain his family and his sobriety. He continues to attend meetings and meditation classes for his well-being. You have to work at your sobriety every day and he does that.”
On Monday, the two-time Oscar-winning actor was photographed receiving a box full of what appeared to be Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch. The whiskey was rumoured to be linked to his whiskey-loving flame, Playboy model Shauna Sexton.
Affleck’s first brush with rehab was in 2001 and most recently in 2017. Alcoholism runs in the family and his father entered rehab when Affleck was just 16.
