Serena Williams has been named Forbes highest paid female athlete in 2018 with her earnings totalling $18.1 million.
Forbes reports that she has clinched this position for the third straight year, thanks to an endorsement portfolio unmatched among women in sports.
Williams has more than a dozen sponsors, including Nike, Intel, Audemars Piguet, JPMorgan Chase, Lincoln, Gatorade and Beats. Only 16 athletes on the planet made more than Williams over the past 12 months from endorsements, and she made twice as much off the court as any other female athlete.
