Jane Fonda has revealed how she is able to look younger despite being an octogenarian.
The 80-year-old in her in an interview with People said she’s not going to lie about the fact that she has had plastic surgery. She stated: “I’m glad I look good for my age but I’ve had plastic surgery.”
The “Grace and Frankie” star says she has had work done on her eyes and her jawline. “I got tired of looking tired when I wasn’t,” she explains.
That said, Fonda is not entirely proud of the fact that she felt the need to have plastic surgery.
“On one level, I hate the fact that I’ve had the need to alter myself physically to feel that I’m okay,” she says. “I wish I wasn’t like that. I love older faces. I love lived-in faces. I loved Vanessa Redgrave’s face.
“I wish I was braver. But I am what I am.”
Fonda also says that she has kept her youth through exercise and even posture. “Your age is less chronological and more attitudinal,” she says.
“Jane Fonda in Five Acts” is set to air on HBO Sept. 24.
