Barely a year after winning the coveted crown, Miss Ghana, Margarete Dery over the weekend poured out the pain she has had to suffer as Miss Ghana, warning ladies aspiring for her crown to stay off the pageant for their own good.
My NewsGH reports that months back, previous winners came out with shocking revelations about the ordeal they go through including being cheated and forced to do certain things they never wished to.
However, these allegations were denied by organizers of the annual pageant.
Miss Ghana Mag Dery who seems fed up with their antics, resigned but not after tweeting her frustration on her Twitter page. She wrote:
“Being a miss Ghana queen has honestly been one of the worse experiences of my life, yeah,I know it looks good on the outside, but it’s just one big sham on the inside. All that glitters is not gold. Ladies, you don’t need a crown on your head to succeed”.
“Never be afraid to raise your voice for honesty, truth, and compassion against injustice, lying and greed. No more will I cover up for anyone that doesn’t deserve it. The whole world will know the truth soon”.
