Media mogul, Linda Ikeji has faced lots of criticism since debuting a controversial reality show, Made in Gidi, similar to the popular Big Brother Nigeria.
Linda posted snippets of the show, which could only be accessed after paying a subscription fee, on her Instagram page which showed housemates getting touchy feely. This did not go down well with viewers who condemned the show saying it was not teaching the youths any morals, some even went further to ask how her shows are imparting the society. Well here’s her response, with proof. On her IG page, she shared pictures of the interaction of followers with each of the posts, juxtaposing Made in Gidi with other CSR posts she uploaded, and here’s her conclusion:
“Ikota, a documentary we spent weeks to film and put together highlighting problems residents of the area go through vs Made In Gidi…see the views/engagement…🤣🤣🤣. If all we did were programmes to highlight social issues and how we can make the country and its youths better, litv will close shop soon…lol”
“Women empowerment program vs Made In Gidi reality show… see the views 🤣🤣🤣. If all I did was inspirational, uplifting and motivational shows (which gives me life) I would close litv soon. Lol.”
Be the judge.
