FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has set a remarkable hat-trick record in the UEFA Champions League following his side’s 4-0 win over PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night, leaving Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo in his wake.
Prior to Tuesday’s fixture against PSV, the Argentine was tie with Ronaldo on seven Champions League hat-tricks.
However, Messi’s lethal display against the Dutch side saw the 31-year-old add yet another UCL hat-trick to his name, meaning he has now scored more hat-tricks in the competition than any other player in history, as per Opta Sports.
Here’s how his fans are celebrating:

Would legit switch age with Messi if it was possible, he’d be 19 and bless us for another decade and I’d be 31, fat, drinking Corona on the couch while I yell at my 4yo son to not run around when Messi is playing. Won’t regret one bit.
