The niece of former “Sister, Sister” star Tamera Mowry-Housley and husband Adam Housley is among the dead following the latest mass shooting in the U.S.
A shooter opened fire at Borderline, a country-western bar frequented by college students in Thousand Oaks, California, on Wednesday night, killing 11 people, including the couple’s niece, Alaina. The gunman, identified as a former marine, was also killed on the scene.
Mowry-Housley and Housley released a statement confirming the death of Alaina: “Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks. Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”
