Nigerian student dies at his school in the U.S, during a basketball game

A 25-year-old Bluefield State student-athlete died at a local hospital on Monday night after collapsing following a pick-up basketball game.

According to WVNSTV, Oritsetimeyin Amatossero-Keke, a 25-year-old 2nd-year student from Lagos, Nigeria, died from unknown causes after leaning over to tie his shoes, following an open gym session at Bluefield High School.

He was transported by car to Bluefield Regional Medical Center, where doctors did an outstanding job, but couldn’t be revived as he was pronounced dead on arrival. Amatossero-Keke was an outstanding student with the highest grade point average on his team.
