Felix Tshisekedi, Opposition candidate, has been declared the winner of the Dec. 30 presidential election on Thursday.
He won his rival opposition candidate Martin Fayulu who has denounced it as a fraud. France has also questioned the outcome.
Felix Tshisekedi will be the first opposition challenger to win since the DR Congo gained independence. Current President Joseph Kabila is stepping down after 18 years in office.
However, Martin Fayulu and ruling party candidate Emmanuel Ramazani Shadary, can contest the interim results before Congo’s constitutional court, which has 10 days to hear and rule on any challenges can still be challenged.
