The sex-for-marks and ex-OAU lecturer who was accused by his student for demanding sex for marks has been remanded in prison.
According to Punch, Prof. Richard Iyiola Akindele was arraigned on Monday by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission before Judge Maureen Onyetenu of a Federal High Court, Osogbo, on four counts on alternation of age and demanding sex to pass his student.
Though he pleaded not guilty to the counts pressed against him, bail was not given as the case has been adjourned to Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Hence, Akindele is being remanded in prison custody until the case is closed.
