A Nigerian woman named Kudirat Afolabi was recently executed by the Saudi Arabian Government, multiple reports confirm.
The report states that Kudirat Afolabi was executed after being found guilty of drug related offenses, and the Saudi Government has defended their action saying “She deserved to die.”
This is because Saudi Arabia, a nation which adheres strictly to the Sharia Law has always been known to punish drug related offenses with death and the fact that it was a Nigerian does not involve any form of preferential treatment of one Nationality over the other.

Explaining the nature of the issue, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, Adnan Bostaji had this to say:
“Saudi Arabia is following Sharia law and anyone who violates the law by bringing drugs into Saudi Arabia will be punished by the law.
“This is because we want to save our society from drugs. So, if we don’t impose our Sharia law on these guilty people we may not save our society. The law is for all people in Saudi Arabia and not only for Saudi citizens,” he explained.
Regardless of this unfortunate situation, he assures that the Saudi Arabian and Nigerian Government still enjoy a cordial relationship.
