Fire outbreak guts section of Balogun market earlier today. Eye witnesses claim it initially started out at Anambra Plaza, on Martins street in the market. Upon investigating the cause of the outbreak, it was gathered that someone tried to refuel a powered generator.
Seven buildings were affected by the inferno; 2 of which have collapsed. We recall that a similar fire outbreak occurred at the same market sometime two months ago. No casualties are recorded, however, a number of goods have been carted away by the catastrophic occurrence. Emergency officials are at the scene as the situation is being mitigated.
